Respiratory Health

Good respiratory health—the ability to breathe easily and clearly—supplies oxygen to your body and removes carbon dioxide and other waste gases it doesn’t need. The lungs also help protect your body’s immune system.

Getting regular exercise, not smoking or vaping, and avoiding air pollutants can help prevent irritation to the lungs and reduce your risk of more serious disease.

If you smokevape, or use smokeless tobaccoAlbertaQuits has tools to help you quit successfully. You can also find additional resources on our Addiction, Tobacco, and Substance Abuse page.
