All methods of intermittent fasting involve periods of reduced food or caloric intake, alternating with your regular eating habits. Due to potential health risks, intermittent fasting is not recommended for youth under 18, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or individuals with Type 1 diabetes. Speak with your health care provider before trying any type of intermittent fast.
